at age 11 in a group of wagons with her family and relatives toEastland County, Texas. She evidently went thru Fifth Gradebefore coming to Texas. She kept house for wages till shemarried. Molisa had seldom contact with her family, even thoughher Mother lived just 15 miles away, because her husband W.R.thought Molisa's sister Fanny was "fast" and didn't want Molisato have anything to do with her family.

met Bryan Blevins. Retired from Blevins Insurance Agency in1968. (She was secretary and office manager )
Was very active at First Baptist Church, San Angelo, and taughtSunday school there for 14 years, later becoming a member of theElizabeth Sunday School Class there.
Also was a charter member and a past president of the San AngeloToastmistress Club, which was organized in 1962. Esther wasalso a member of the Literary Review Club , and a member , aswell as being past president, of the Baptist MemorialsHospital Auxiliary at San Angelo.

Between 1926-1929, Bryan taught school (three years) inJoaquin. In 1929, went into the Insurance business andtransferred to San Angelo to open an agency. In 1949,established the independent "Blevins Insurance Agency."
Was in the Marines in WW I. Retired in 1972. Bryan wasactive in the Board of City Development many years, and was aMason for over 65 years, as well as being a member of theAmerican Legion for over 65 years. He was active in DowntownRotary and the Goodfellow Class of First Baptist Church, SanAngelo, Tx.

enlisted Oct 22, 1861 as a private in Company E, 9th (Nicall's)Texas Infantry. Later graduated with the first class of BaylorUniversity in 1873 at Independence, Texas. Was a Reverend-converted at age 20, he entered the ministry in 1868, beingordained that same year by the Sand Prairie church, MadisonCounty, Texas. He served in many other locations, moved toLouisiana about 1888, and in 1900 he moved to Keatchie, La. thathe might have school advantages for his children. Soon became aMissionary, serving mostly throughout North Louisiana. In 1918a severe attach of Flu so disabled him that he was no longerable to serve churches. He lingered in poor health until theend came March 15, 1925.
Hollis, Texas, a rural community in southwestern Madison County,became a post office in 1881 and was named for C.B. Hollis, itsfirst postmaster. The office was discontinued in 1912.
